The Kissidugu Foundation is proud to present the 13th annual Camp Merveilles Colorado, August 11th-17th 2015 and the third Annual Merveilles Hawaii, November 4th-8th, and the first annual conference in Utah May 8th-10th. Named after Les Merveilles, the preeminent Drum and Dance Company from Guinea, the camps are hosted by Fara Tolno, in tribute to his mentor, the companies legendary Director, Kemoko Sano. Camp Merveilles brings world class artisans from all around African to share their cultural arts and heritage. With classes for all ages and abilities, this is an opportunity to study, connect, and celebrate through music, dance, and dialogue.

Welcome to the inaugural Merveilles Utah African Drum and Dance conference. This gathering, hosted in partnership with Wofa Afro Fusion Dance and Fara Tolno of the Kissidugu Foundation, will welcome artists to share in the spirit of African drum, dance and song. The conference aims to impart a deeper understanding of the African culture both through dance and drum lessons, but also through panel discussions with our guest artists. We look forward to gathering and building our own village community for the week in the beautiful Colorado mountains at Sunrise Ranch. Camp begins with classes and dinner on Tuesday evening, August 11th, followed by full days of classes Wednesday August 12th through Sunday August 16th with events or gatherings every evening. We invite you to come share music, dance, culture, and community.
